The Time Has Come...

Now that spring has really arrived, I've decided to launch my new blog. I'd like to share my artwork, including some of my photography, with my readers, and hopefully make new friends in this vast, wonderful world of ours.

Bleeding hearts are one of my favorite flowers. Dicentra spectabilis comes in pink and white, and though I have planted several, I have never had any success in their behaving as a perennial. In other words, they never bloomed the following spring, but died a quiet death. I wonder why? They are supposed to be hardy in my region. I've tried both pink and white, to no avail. Maybe they are not so hardy after all.

In any event, I hope you enjoy this photo, and my blog.

  1. Congrats on your new blog! It looks really pretty:-)

  2. The new blog looks great Sandra. My bleeding hearts are blooming too.

  3. Beautiful Sandra. Somehow I will have to get you a sprig of my Bleeding Hearts. They seem to be very hardy. See you soon!

  4. Love the banner & the whole presentation :-))) Is there an RSS feed where I can sign up to read your newest posts? See you in a really short time - YIKES! I need to work on my trades!

  5. Pam--Thank you very much! I'm so glad you stopped by!

Linda--Thanks and hugs! I am lucky to have neighbors with such lovely plants. The woman who used to live two doors down was quite the gardener.

Erin--That's very sweet of you. Steve should be joining us for dinner, and we can give it to him and he can plant it. (He'd better!) Looking forward to seeing you.

Jean--I'm working on the RSS feed right now. I'm still working on my trades, too. So excited about getting together!

  6. Welcome to the world of blogging...enjoy sharing your fabulous eye for color...

  7. I love the design of your blog ...very fresh and springlike. Looking forward to what you're going to do next.

  8. Susan and Angela, thank you very much for stopping by! I really appreciate it!
